Why it is interesting. The course will help physical therapists, occupational therapists and members of the multidisciplinary team to form basic clinically oriented knowledge of mental health necessary to recognize the most common mental disorders in children and adults, understand their manifestations in the rehabilitation process and safely, effectively interact with patients, taking into account their psycho-emotional state
You will learn:
How to recognize behavioral, emotional and cognitive manifestations of mental disorders in children and adults during physical and occupational therapy.
Assessment of the patient's mental state within the competence of a physical therapist.
How to build effective and safe communication with patients with mental disorders and their families.
How to prevent professional burnout and emotional overload when working with mentally vulnerable patients.
How to identify signs that require the involvement of a psychiatrist or psychologist, and correctly guide the patient.
